Ohio State's running back room will be a bit thinner for the remainder of the team's College Football Playoff run.
According to Jeremy Birmingham of Rivals, freshman running back Sam Williams-Dixon has completed his paperwork to enter the transfer portal. He will not remain with the Buckeyes in their quest for a national championship.
A three-star recruit out of Pickerington, Ohio, Williams-Dixon arrived at Ohio State as the No. 661 overall prospect in the 2024 class. He and fellow freshman running back James Peoples (the No. 114 overall prospect) served in depth roles behind all-conference ballcarriers TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins in the regular season.
