Ohio State freshman receiver Austin Mack becomes earliest to lose black stripe in recent memory

In case you haven't heard, there's potentially playing time up for grabs at wideout for Ohio State this year, after the departures of Michael Thomas, Jalin Marshall and Braxton Miller. There have been reports that freshman Austin Mack has been making a name for himself in practice, and now, we can see public confirmation. Urban Meyer tweeted today that Mack was the first freshman to get his black stripe removed:

Congrats to Austin Mack for being the first to get his black stripe removed!

Mack, a four-star wideout from Fort Wayne, IN, chose the Buckeyes over Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, and a slew of other big name programs.
