The freshman from Texas can practice but won't be to compete until cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center
Just a few weeks before their regular season tips off, Ohio State's men's basketball team was dealt some bad news when it was announced by Athletic Director Gene Smith that Mickey Mitchell was not cleared by the NCAA to play.
"Freshman forward Mickey Mitchell has not been cleared to compete for the Ohio State men's basketball team by the NCAA Eligibility Center. He is eligible to practice but not compete until the issue is resolved."
Mitchell will do his best to make a statement in practice so he can see playing time as soon as he gets approved.
