Ohio State Forward Kyle Young Headed for Possible Appendix Surgery After Loss to West Virginia

Ohio State's Kyle Young is being evaluated for appendicitis following Ohio State's 67-59 loss to West Virginia in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon, per Adam Jardy of Buckeyextra.com.

The junior forward vomited before tipoff against the Mountaineers, and the coaching staff monitored him thinking he was in the early stages of the flu. Young made his 13th consecutive start against West Virginia and posted two points and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes of action.

"It was touch-and-go with him," Holtmann said, per Buckeyextra.com.

The junior out of Canton, Ohio, has been a force for Ohio State's frontcourt this season and is averaging 8.
