The Ohio State football program has a problem, but it’s the best kind of problem to have. The Buckeyes recruit and develop so well that every year a handful of juniors and redshirt sophomores will decide to take their talents to the NFL.
That NFL success leads to more wins on the recruiting trail, and more wins on the field. But it also means having to replace star players who will be suiting up on Sundays instead of helping the Bucks beat Michigan again next year.
While the staff does an excellent job piling talent on top of talent in its recruiting classes, as well as preaching a “next man up” mentality, some players are just hard to replace.
