COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former NFL coach Greg Schiano will make $600,000 this season in his first year as Ohio State's co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach.
That salary lands Schiano in line with co-offensive coordinator Ed Warinner and just behind co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell, the highest-paid assistant on the staff.
Schiano was hired in December to replace Chris Ash, who was hired as Rutgers' new head coach. Ohio State still hasn't finalized a contract with Schiano, but Tuesday it released a document outlining contract terms for the first time.
