Former Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer had a very good night on Thursday. He saw three of his former recruits go 1-2-3 in the NFL Draft and has a chance to have upwards of 10 total former Ohio State football players be taken by NFL clubs this weekend.
Joe Burrow, the former four-star recruit for Ohio State, was a hidden gem found by former offensive coordinator Tom Herman and head coach Urban Meyer as part of the 2015 recruiting class. He was chosen first overall by his hometown team, the Cincinnati Bengals.
We all know the story by now as during the 2018 offseason with an open quarterback competition with Dwayne Haskins, Burrow broke his hand and that gave Haskin’s the leg up on the starting job.
