Ohio State has been its own worst enemy the last two seasons with embarrassingly bad losses to Iowa and Purdue.
Coupled with the 31-0 blowout to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl in 2016, it is understandable why the Buckeyes are not getting the benefit of the doubt from the College Football Playoff Selection Committee right now. 2019 could be the season for Ohio State to change the narrative and get back to the playoff where it belongs.
To achieve that goal, the team has to avoid a significant loss against an inferior opponent. There are two such games on the schedule.
