A year ago, they were under the radar — among Ohio State football fans as well as opposing offensive coordinators.
In 2015, Joey Bosa, not Sam Hubbard or Tyquan Lewis, was the Buckeyes defensive end who caused fear in opponents’ minds. Coordinators’ first priority was Bosa.
That allowed Hubbard and Lewis to roam more freely, and both had breakout seasons. Lewis led Ohio State with eight sacks and had 14 tackles for loss. Hubbard had 6½ sacks and eight tackles for loss.
With Bosa off to the NFL, Hubbard and Lewis know they won’t be overlooked in 2016.
