When Ryan Day took over the Ohio State football program many thought the Michigan Wolverines were the favorite to win the Big Ten. And the Buckeyes’ recruiting was probably going to take a hit.
Neither was the case. Ohio State went 12-0 in the regular season, won the Big Ten Championship and just came up short against the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff semi-final.
And Ryan Day’s first recruiting class finished No. 5 in the 247Sports Composite. Now the Buckeye head coach has taken things up a notch.
