As far as Ohio State defensive tackle Robert Landers is concerned, there is no secret to why he can mix it up with bigger players in the trenches.
“You’ve just got to have that will and that drive; you’ve got to be hungry,” said Landers, relatively small at 6 feet 1 and 285 pounds. “At times it’s going to be hard — actually, it’s going to be hard a lot. But you’ve got to love what you do. And you’ve got to have a ‘why’ for why you do what you do.”
His “why”?
“My mom and my two younger brothers,” he said.
