Wide receiver Torrance Gibson has been suspended from Ohio State for the fall semester because of an unspecified violation of the university’s student code of conduct, an OSU spokesman said Monday. No other details were provided.
Gibson, who had been a celebrated member of the highly rated 2015 recruiting class as a quarterback, switched to receiver last fall. He was redshirted for that season.
From American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he had been expected to make a move up the depth chart in preseason camp this month after a promising spring game. But a hamstring pull kept him out of the bulk of practices the past couple of weeks.
