No. 9 Stanford just beat No. 6 Notre Dame 38-36 on a 45-yard field goal as time expired. The win by the Cardinal eliminated Notre Dame from College Football Playoff contention, and kept Ohio State’s hopes alive after the Buckeyes thrashed Michigan today to finish the regular season 11-1.
Naturally, Ohio State’s players and coaching staff were very happy with the outcome, and celebrated it on Twitter.
