Ohio State linebacker Joshua Perry had to pull out of participation in this week’s Senior Bowl after suffering a slight groin injury during the first workouts at the game site in Mobile, Ala., on Tuesday.
Perry’s father Jim Perry reported Wednesday that his son is in Pensacola, Fla., getting treatment and that he otherwise “is continuing training for the (NFL) combine” workout to be staged next month in Indianapolis.
That leaves four OSU players at the Senior Bowl: receiver Braxton Miller, defensive tackle Adolphus Washington, tight end Nick Vannett and safety Tyvis Powell. Offensive tackle Taylor Decker withdrew from the game a couple weeks ago.
