Ohio State is off this weekend, but it isn’t vacation time for the Buckeyes.
They practiced on Tuesday and will on Wednesday and Thursday before they’re free for the weekend. The break comes at an ideal time, coach Urban Meyer said.
“Where we are with injuries — the sixth, seventh and eighth week, everyone is dealing with stuff — I think it’s coming at a great time,” he said Tuesday on the Big Ten coaches teleconference.
The Buckeyes have been fortunate with injuries. Nose guard Tommy Schutt, on Saturday against Rutgers, was the first Ohio State starter to miss a game because of injury.
