Ohio State football notebook: Meyer can see using both Jones and Barrett

Coach Urban Meyer has a pretty strong feeling about who will be Ohio State’s starting quarterback for the season opener at Virginia Tech on Monday night.

But he wouldn’t reveal it.

“I kind of have an idea who’s going to go early,” Meyer said on Tuesday on the first Big Ten coaches conference call of the 2015 season.

“I also have made the decision that when you have good players, you play them. I anticipate that throughout the course of the year, we’ll play both quarterbacks.”

J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones have been competing to start.
