Ohio State football | Marcus Baugh says he'll be target at tight end

From the promises, promises department, here’s an oldie but a goodie: Ohio State intends to incorporate the tight end more into its passing game.

Somewhere in the Seattle area with the Seahawks, Nick Vannett might have read that and snickered. It was probably the same with Jeff Heuerman in training camp with the Denver Broncos. The past two starting tight ends for the Buckeyes went into seasons with their hands wide open and their fingers crossed.

Though each had some catches — including important ones — neither was considered a primary target.

Now comes Marcus Baugh, who spent the past three seasons rectifying his image from a couple of underage drinking citations while serving as an understudy to Heuerman and Vannett.
