The Ohio State football team got a little deeper on the defensive side of the ball when coach Urban Meyer said Wednesday he expects linebacker Dante Booker to be able to play when the Buckeyes travel to Penn State for a prime time game Saturday.
“He’s good. He’s gonna play this week,” Meyer said after practice.
Booker was a starting outside linebacker in the opener against Bowling Green before suffering a knee sprain that kept him sidelined the past five games. Jerome Baker took his spot and has played well, even being named the Big Ten defensive player of the week after the win at Oklahoma in and leading the team with 13 tackles in the overtime win at Wisconsin last week.
