Ohio State football | Joey Bosa set to enter NFL draft 29 years after his dad

As ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. dug into his evaluation of Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa in preparation for the NFL draft, he had a sense of déjà vu.

Twenty-nine years ago, it seems, he had sized up John Bosa, a defensive lineman coming out of Boston College.

“I went back and looked, and the numbers were incredibly comparable — height, weight, speed, everything, between John and his son Joey,” Kiper said.

John Bosa was the 16th pick of the 1987 draft, taken in the first round by the Miami Dolphins. Joey is projected to be taken Thursday during the first round in Chicago.
