Ohio State Football: Jeremy Ruckert could be special

It was thought Ohio State head coach Ryan Day would utilize the tight ends more often this season and Jeremy Ruckert was a star in the season opener.

There was a lot of word coming out of spring and fall camp leading up to the season that coach Day would begin to use his tight ends more often. This could change as time goes on but it worked well today.

Urban Meyer utilized Nick Vannett and Jeff Heuerman early in his tenor, but strayed away from using tight ends as his time in Columbus moved on.

Either way, that word was definitely true, at least in the first game as Jeremy Ruckert had himself a fantastic day from the tight end position, catching the ball 4 times for 38 yards and 2 touchdowns.
