The prelims are a thing of the past for the Ohio State football team. Much like in 2006, when that entire season seemed to be a buildup for "the game of the century" showdown against Michigan, this one has had the same undercurrent headed into a back-to-back finale with the teams up north.

One big difference this season is that Michigan State has not lived up to its end of the hype. A stunning, last-minute loss at Nebraska a couple of weeks ago gave the Spartans their first loss.
