Dispatch beat writers Bill Rabinowitz and Tim May engage in a give-and-take on Ohio State football.
Ohio State's 28-14 victory over Minnesota was no one's idea of a masterpiece, though connoisseurs of defense should have enjoyed the Buckeyes' performance the first three quarters. It took Vonn Bell's pick-six to finally open the scoring 25 minutes into the game. With quarterback J.T. Barrett suspended, Cardale Jones had a chance to re-stake his claim to the starting job. It's fair to say that he could have made a stronger case. But the bottom line is that the Buckeyes won, and no one should pooh-pooh a victory in November.
