Ohio State football | Given legal fears, only jerseys with Nos. 1 and 15 to be sold

Ohio State fans looking to buy team jerseys this year will find them available in only two numbers, and the future is likely to be just as limited.

The school, as well as other programs, is reacting to a new landscape, thanks to an ongoing court battle over whether players deserve a cut of such sales.

Former UCLA basketball player Ed O’Bannon filed an antitrust lawsuit in 2009, challenging the right of colleges to use the images of former student-athletes for commercial purposes. O’Bannon won the case, although the NCAA was granted a stay at the end of July while it appeals the judgment.
