Ohio State football: Former coach Earle Bruce on the mend after suffering mild stroke in July

Former Ohio State football coach Earle Bruce is rehabilitating from a mild stroke suffered three weeks ago. His daughter Lynn said on Thursday that doctors expect Bruce to make a full recovery.

Lynn Bruce said her father was at a family reunion in Maryland on July23 when he was stricken.

“He’s very lucky he was with a lot of people and not home alone,” she said.

Bruce, 84, has been rehabilitating at Ohio State’s Dodd Hall.

“He’s doing very well,” Lynn Bruce said. “Physically, he’s very strong. He’s just working on some balance stuff, which is kind of typical for someone his age.
