When the College Football Playoff rankings came out yesterday Ohio State was still ranked No. 10. If a 20 point victory on the road versus a ranked team won’t move the Buckeyes up in the rankings what will?
It may be the case the Committee has ruled out Ohio State as a playoff contender already.
The top 5 teams, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan and Georgia all took care of business on Saturday. But at least a couple of teams ranked 6-9 weren’t all that impressive.
No. 9 West Virginia defeated TCU soundly 47-10 but it’s doubtful you could make a compelling argument any of the other three teams had a more impressive win than the Ohio State victory over Michigan State.
