Ohio State cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs doesn’t have many experienced players at the position entering the 2016 season, but he is excited with those he has at his disposal. He should be, they are an extremely talented group.
The one cornerback coach Coombs can count on is fourth year junior Gareon Conley. Conley had a fine season in 2015 and could be an All-Big Ten performer this season. The battle for the other corner position will be between two sophomores, Marshon Lattimore and Denzel Ward.
Lattimore was one of the most sought after corners in the nation in the 2014 recruiting class but has battled injuries each of the last two seasons.
