Amir Riep became the 16th member of Ohio State’s top-ranked 2017 recruiting class Saturday, the defensive back making his announcement at his high school, Cincinnati Colerain.
“After my senior year at Colerain High School, I will continue my academic and football career at the Ohio State University,” Riep told the audience.
Considered the 25th best cornerback prospect nationally by Rivals, he picked Ohio State over Michigan State. Scout ranks him 91st among all prospects nationally.
“At 6 feet tall with long arms and legs, he fits what Ohio State is looking for in cornerbacks these days under (co-defensive coordinator) Greg Schiano,” Bucknuts recruiting analyst Bill Kurelic said.
