Sam Hubbard flipped back and forth between the Big Ten and Atlantic Coast Conference championship games on Saturday night, with a critical eye on Clemson in the ACC.
“I had a feeling that was who we were going to play,” the Ohio State defensive end said on Tuesday.
Hubbard’s hunch, which matched conventional wisdom that the Tigers and Buckeyes would meet at the Fiesta Bowl in a College Football Playoff semifinal, proved correct.

Now comes the challenge. Three years ago, Clemson ripped through Ohio State’s defense in the Orange Bowl, gaining 576 yards in a 40-35 Tigers win.
