For most Ohio State football players, July represents a lull before preseason camp begins the next month.
Outside of conditioning workouts and classes, players have ample free time.
Then there’s senior long-snapper Bryce Haynes, whose days this month have been spent studying for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), which he will take on Thursday. He hopes to attend medical school in 2016.
“I’ve been studying probably a couple months,” Haynes said. “I’m pretty prepared, but I really want to do well on it. It’s kind of a one-shot thing for this year. I have to make sure I know everything.
