Ohio State running back Bri’onte Dunn will serve as the backup this season to preseason All-American Ezekiel Elliott, so it’s hard to say how much he will play.
Running backs coach Tony Alford stopped short of saying that anything is promised to Dunn, a fourth-year junior, although he sees a player who is showing more hunger.
“To say somebody deserves a piece of the cake, I’m a firm believer in, if you do your job, do it well and do it to the best of your ability, everybody eventually will get theirs in the end,” said Alford, who is in his first season at Ohio State after having worked at Notre Dame.
