Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer said he got home in time Saturday after the victory at Illinois to visit with family friends and catch some football on television. In the midst of a local report on the Buckeyes' win, he said he heard one analyst say, "We’ve just got to get on a roll here."
“My friend said, 'Get on a roll here?,'" Meyer related with a smile. "And I just said, 'I guess we’ve got to get on a roll.'"
The Buckeyes (10-0) are riding the nation’s longest winning streak at 23 games and have won a record 30 straight regular-season league games.
