According to multiple reports, Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired early Saturday morning.
Elevenwarriors.com first reported the arrest, citing police sources.
The arrest occurred on N. High Street near campus and Barrett, who is 20, reportedly registered just over the legal limit of .08 when tested for blood-alcohol content.
Before last week’s victory at Rutgers, Barrett regained the starting quarterback job he had last year before breaking his ankle against Michigan.
Because Barrett is not legally old enough to drink, he could be subject to a two-week suspension based on Ohio State’s student-athlete drug and alcohol policy.
