Although the Ohio State offense is retrenching, the defense is riding a wave of momentum, ranked No.5 in the nation in total defense, and middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan said the front four is setting the tone.
That’s especially true for senior defensive tackle Adolphus Washington, who McMillan said is playing on a level that should pay off at the NFL draft next year.
“Top-five pick,” McMillan said, pausing to let that register. “Because he’s eating up everything in front of me (in terms of blockers), so he lets me play free, him and Tommy (Schutt). Even the second-string guys, when they come in, they’re eatin’ up everything, man.
