After a nice win against the Indiana Hoosiers, the Ohio State Buckeyes would head back to the Horseshoe for their final non conference game against the Miami (OH) Redhawks. The game started out slow for Buckeyes as Redhawks linebacker Myles reid stripped Justin Fields causing the ball to roll to the back of the endzone for a safety.
The Buckeyes would not let that one little mistake hurt them as J.K. Dobbins would take it in from 26 yards making it 7-5 Buckeyes. Dobbins was hoping to get to the 3,000 mark, but that will have to wait as he only rushed for 52 yards on eight carries and a touchdown.
