Jim Delany’s impact on the Big Ten has been incredible, most notably in revenue generated per year. In 2018, that sum was an astonishing $759 million which led all conferences.
Delany’s strength was being an advocate for change and almost all his decisions, outside of the Leaders and Legends fiasco, dramatically improved the Big Ten.
His tenure is ending next year, but I am hoping he will consider more changes before he retires.
Adopt an annual conference challenge
I absolutely love the Big Ten/ACC basketball challenge. Adopting a similar set up for football, where conference superiority is a major topic every season, makes complete sense.
