After concerns began to mount that the Ohio State Buckeyes hadn’t yet picked up any commitments on the defensive side of the ball for their 2020 football recruiting class, those concerns were somewhat alleviated with the pledge of four-star defensive back Lejond Cavazos. However, Ryan Day was back to collecting offensive talent as 2021, four-star quarterback prospect Kyle McCord committed to the Buckeyes.
A Philadelphia native, McCord comes in rated 113th nationally according to 247 Sports, and the eighth best pro-style QB in the 2021 class. The rising-junior already stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 195 pounds, and has displayed a strong, accurate arm.
