Ohio State’s two-year hiatus from the NCAA Tournament is now officially over as the Buckeyes have earned a No. 5 seed in the West Region of the Big Dance. They will begin play in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 14 against the No. 12 South Dakota State.
The Jackrabbits come into the tournament with a 28-6 record, and went 13-1 in the Summit League. They won the conference’s tournament, Western Illinois, North Dakota State, and South Dakota.
In new head coach Chris Holtmann’s first season at the helm, the Ohio State Buckeyes finished with a surprisingly strong 24-8 record, including a 15-3 mark in the Big Ten.
