Elyria-native Tracy Sprinkle posted a statement on his Twitter account regarding his season-ending injury from Ohio State’s opening game against Bowling Green on Saturday.
The defensive tackle exited the game with a torn patellar tendon and will undergo surgery, followed by a long, strenuous rehab.

Defensive line coach Larry Johnson indicated that the plan to “replace” Sprinkle will involve more of a rotation of guys rather than moving one guy up the depth chart.
Head coach Urban Meyer called the injury to Sprinkle “a big loss.
