Ohio State is down a candidate to replace its two departed first-round cornerbacks.
Redshirt sophomore Joshua Norwood is transferring out of the program, a team spokesman confirmed to Eleven Warriors on Tuesday. The venerable Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch first reported the news.
As the Buckeyes try to fill the massive shoes left behind by Marshon Lattimore and Gareon Conley, Norwood's name barely — if ever — came up this spring in discussions with Kerry Coombs, Greg Schiano or Urban Meyer during media settings. Norwood did record one tackle in the spring game for the Gray team, however.
