Calvin Simpson-Hunt is officially a Buckeye.
On Wednesday the 6-foot-1, 195-pound cornerback became the 17th Ohio State freshman to shed his black stripe this year. He's the first OSU player to shed his stripe since Willtrell Hartson did it on Nov. 1 and the first scholarship player to do so since Joshua Mickens on Oct. 11.
