It wasn’t always pretty, but the Ohio State Buckeyes came out of their primetime match-up with Michigan State on Saturday night with a slid 34-10 victory against what was believed to be one of the best defenses in the country.
And while the win was not as resounding as the first five in the season, both the pollsters and analytics recognized the importance of the win in the Buckeyes’ first real test of the season.
The AP voters rewarded the Buckeyes by moving them up a spot into a tie with the Georgia Bulldogs for the third spot in the rankings.
