The Ohio State Board of Trustees’ newest committee is focused on the continued growth of Ohio State athletics in the new era of college sports.
As Ohio State begins the 2024-25 academic year, the Board of Trustees has formed a new Athletics Committee with an eye toward increasing the strategic alignment between the board and Ohio State’s athletic administration.
“It is common for the chair to propose modifications to the Board of Trustees committee structure,” an Ohio State spokesperson told Eleven Warriors. “As the national collegiate athletics landscape continues to evolve, strategic alignment between the board and university administration is even more critical and the Athletics Committee will allow the board to best advise and lead one of the university’s highest-profile units.
