The Ohio State basketball team is off to a 2-0 start after the decisive win over Purdue Fort Wayne last Sunday. Three freshmen had outstanding games and several young players have been instrumental in the Buckeyes getting off to a fast start this season.
Freshman Luther Muhammad got off on the right foot in the opener against Cincinnati. He scored 11 points, had 2 rebounds, 1 assist and a block. Against Purdue Fort Wayne, Muhammad had another double-digit scoring game but that only tells part of the story of how well he played. He had the difficult task of guarding Fort Wayne’s all-conference player John Konchar and held him to 13 points.
