COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State forward Jae'Sean Tate will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, it was announced before the Buckeyes' game against Michigan State on Tuesday night.
Tate, who appeared to suffer a shoulder injury last Saturday against Nebraska, had an MRI on his left shoulder and was awaiting results earlier on Tuesday according to the Columbus Dispatch. He will have surgery on Friday.
Tate played through the injury -- which was called a torn labrum during Tuesday's ESPN broadcast -- during the win over the Cornhuskers on Saturday. It appeared to occur during the first half, and Tate then looked like he aggravated it in the second half.
