Saturday night Ohio State finally soared into the lead 10-8 with 9 ½ minutes left in the first half. Yes, it took the Buckeyes over 10 minutes to score 10 points. Fortunately Nebraska was even more inept on offense.
Most of the problems Ohio State had were self inflicted. A player picking up his dribble for no apparent reason and getting tied up by a defender. Someone jumping into the air and then looking for something to do with the ball, as well as players making other ill-advised passes. Or 30 percent three point shooters firing up long contested shots early in the shot clock.
