Jon Diebler is never more in his element than when surrounded by basketballs. In a crowded, one-chair office connected to a two-court gymnasium inside the Jewish Community Center, Diebler was actually literally surrounded by them.
Dozens of basketballs emblazoned with “DIEBL3R” threatened to overwhelm the Ohio State star and all-time Big Ten three-point shooting leader. The gym, the basketballs and Diebler were all part of his four-day skills camp that ends Friday. With more than 120 campers ranging from second through 12th grade and an all-star cast of supporting coaches, Diebler is running his own camp for a second year while in town for summer after his fifth professional basketball season.
