Yesterday Abel Porter announced via Twitter he would play for the Ohio State basketball team next season. The graduate transfer from Utah State will give head coach Chris Holtmann another experienced point guard, filling the last position of need.
Recently forward Seth Towns announced he would join the team and he will be eligible to play next season. Guard Jimmy Sotos is also transferring to Ohio State but will have to sit a year. Coach Holtmann needed another point guard to go along with C.J. Walker for next season and found one.
Last season Porter averaged 5.
