After this weekend’s action Ohio State is in a three way tie for sixth place in the Big Ten. Why is that important?
Ohio State, Michigan State and Purdue are all 8-5 in the conference and the Buckeyes will face the Spartans twice at the end of the season. Also, Wisconsin and Michigan have four losses, and the Buckeyes play the Wolverines at home on Tuesday.
An Ohio State win and the two teams will have the same record and the Buckeyes will have the head to head advantage. That could come into play when it comes to the seeding for the Big Ten tournament.
