Ohio State freshman guard Austin Grandstaff has told ESPN that he is transferring.
Grandstaff, a native of Rockwall, Texas, appeared in all 10 games but was toward the end of coach Thad Matta’s rotation. In Wednesday night’s win against Northern Illinois, Grandstaff tied for a season low with four minutes, all of which came during the first half.
A four-star recruit according to Rivals.com, Grandstaff averaged 4.4 points and shot 33.3 percent from three-point range in 11.5 minutes of playing time this season.
In his lone interview session with the media this season, Grandstaff said Tuesday he was still adjusting to the college game.
