Ohio State baseball | Season ends with NCAA regional loss to Wright State

Wright State scored five runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Ohio State 7-3 on Sunday in an NCAA baseball regional in Louisville, Kentucky, ending the Buckeyes' season.

No. 2 seed Ohio State, which played its ninth postseason game in 10 days, finished 44-20-1.

Wright State (46-16) had six hits against Ryan Feltner (3-4) in the first inning, including a two-run double by Sean Murphy, to take a 5-1 lead.

Gabe Snyder homered in the third to push the third-seeded Raiders' lead to 6-1.

Ohio State's Troy Montgomery scored on Jalen Washington's sacrifice fly in the fourth, and Nick Sergakis scored on a groundout by Troy Kuhn in the eighth to cut it to 6-3.
